Tear. Sprinkle. Water. Grow.

Our Plant Feed Sachet Box is the easiest way to use Rich Roots mealworm frass fertiliser.

Each box contains 12 pre-measured 10g sachets of 100% natural mealworm frass – the nutrient-rich castings left by mealworms. Just tear open a sachet, sprinkle around your plants, gently mix into the soil, and water in.

No scooping. No guessing. No mess.

Designed like a plant care ritual, each sachet gives your plants a simple natural top-up of nutrients, organic matter, beneficial biology, natural chitin and a lab-tested carbon content of 38.5%.

Best for

  • Indoor pot plants
  • Herbs and small edible plants
  • Balcony gardens and courtyards
  • Desk plants and office plants
  • Plant parents who want simple plant care
  • Plant gifts, hampers and starter gardening kits
  • Renters, apartment growers and small space gardeners
  • Anyone who wants frass without measuring from a larger pouch

Why choose the sachet box?

The sachet box is our most convenient and giftable format.

Each sachet is pre-measured, tidy and easy to use, making it perfect for beginners, plant lovers, busy households, office plants, or anyone who wants a simple feeding routine without keeping a larger pouch of fertiliser on the shelf.

One sachet is ideal for feeding around 2–3 small pot plants. For a larger indoor plant collection, simply use more sachets as needed.

As a guide, one box can provide:

  • Up to 6 months of feeding for 2–3 small pot plants if using one sachet every two weeks
  • Around 3 months of feeding for a larger small plant collection if using two sachets every two weeks

Actual use will depend on plant size, number of plants, season and how often you feed.

The plant care ritual

Use it as part of your regular plant care rhythm:

  1. Tear open one sachet.
  2. Sprinkle around your plants.
  3. Mix gently into the topsoil.
  4. Water in to activate the soil biology.

Simple, clean and easy to remember.

Why plants love it

Rich Roots Mealworm Frass Fertiliser helps support:

  • Healthy soil biology
  • Stronger root-zone activity
  • Slow, natural nutrient release
  • Better soil structure over time
  • More active living soil
  • Regular plant growth and resilience

Mealworm frass also contains naturally occurring chitin, which may help support plants’ natural defence response as part of a healthy soil ecosystem.

Lab-tested nutrient profile

Our mealworm frass fertiliser has been independently tested for key nutrients and soil-relevant properties.

How to use

For established plants, tear open one sachet and sprinkle around the base of your plants. Gently mix into the top layer of soil and water in well.

As a simple guide:

  • Small pots: half to one sachet across 2–3 small pots
  • Medium pots: around one sachet
  • Larger pots: one to two sachets
  • Herbs and small edible plants: apply lightly and water in
  • New planting: mix a small amount through the planting area before watering

Reapply every 2–4 weeks during active growing periods, or as needed based on plant size, season and soil condition.

Application tips

A little goes a long way. For best results:

  • Water in after applying
  • Avoid direct contact with delicate stems
  • Use less around seedlings or sensitive plants
  • Start lightly and increase gradually if needed
  • Use more sachets for larger pots or bigger plant collections
  • Store unused sachets sealed in the box in a cool, dry place
