The workhorse. For gardens with ambition.
The 360g Large Garden Pouch is our best-value size — for the veggie patch, the raised beds, the balcony that's quietly become a jungle, and anyone feeding more than a handful of pots.
Inside is one ingredient: 100% raw mealworm frass, made and packed in Queensland. Frass is what mealworms leave behind as they feed — nature's original slow-release fertiliser. It's dry, fine, clean to handle and low in odour, and it goes on straight from the pouch with no composting or ageing first.
3.71% N · 1.13% P · 1.88% K · 38.5% Carbon
No synthetic fillers. No added chemicals.
Best for
- Veggie patches and raised beds
- A whole balcony or courtyard's worth of pots
- Herbs and fruiting plants — tomatoes, chillies, citrus in pots
- Larger containers
- Regular feeding through the growing season
How far will 360g go?
Feeding every two weeks for around 12 weeks, one 360g pouch covers roughly:
- 12–15 small pots (10–15cm)
- 3–5 medium pots (20–25cm)
- 2–3 large pots (30cm+)
These are estimates rather than promises — actual coverage depends on pot size, plant needs and how generous you are with the sprinkle. Feeding every four weeks instead will stretch it further.
How to use
Sprinkle → lightly mix → water in
- Small pots: 1–2 teaspoons
- Medium pots: around 1 tablespoon
- Large pots: 1–2 tablespoons
- Garden beds: sprinkle lightly around the root zone and water in
- New planting: mix a small amount through the planting area before watering
Reapply every 2–4 weeks during active growth, or as needed based on plant size, season and soil. Go easy around seedlings and delicate plants — start light, and keep it off soft stems.
Using it around the home and edible garden
Apply to the soil rather than to the leaves, wash your hands afterwards, keep the pouch out of reach of children and pets, and rinse herbs, fruit and vegetables before eating. Full handling and storage guidance is in our Safety Data Sheet.
Why mealworm frass?
It gives your plants naturally occurring nutrients and organic matter while feeding the soil life around their roots. It also naturally contains chitin, which may help support plants' own defence response as part of a healthy soil ecosystem.
Independently tested
We sent our frass to a lab so you don't have to take our word for it:

I was looking for something I could use for my indoor plants and that was also low enough in Phosphorous that it would work for my native plants and this does the job. You also don't get that excess of nutrients dumped at once that some fertilisers do that just causes a heap of weak new growth.
My plants were on the brink of dying but after adding the frass they have sprung to life ! Happy customer
Works a charm!!
